It has released 5 varieties of rice to the market, Sapphire INIA, Quartz INIA, Emerald INIA, Jasper FL-INIA (first variety of short cycle that allows the cultivation of rice with 50% less water), Onyx INIA (first variety of Chilean black rice) and participated in the team in Platinum INIA, being Sapphire INIA the most planted variety in the national rice sector occupying 70% of the surface.
